Boudoir Photography – Frequently Asked Questions

The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 11 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!

Do you share my images?

Privacy is our number 1 priority as well as making sure our clients are comfortable. It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking. Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren't quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse, not for anyone else's eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preference. We only share what you are comfortable sharing, and if you prefer we don't share anything, we won't!

Do you have lingerie & shoes I can wear?

YES! We offer a wide range of lingerie options you can wear right in the studio! Our Client Closet has over 200 lingerie pieces in sizes XS-5XL, including plus sizes, and red bottom heels in sizes 5-12. We also have fancy robes and accessories you can use along with our glorious Angel Wings and our super sexy shower set that looks great with or without lingerie! We do ask that you bring a pair of black lacy panties that you can wear for our White Sheet (or red satin!) set.

Do you have payment plans?

YES! We offer financing options. There is a booking fee to reserve your session. The fee reserves your date and allows us to book the hair and makeup artist for your shoot, it also covers the consultation, photoshoot, and studio time. We only photograph one woman at a time, and only one a day so keeping your date is very important. The booking fee does not include any images or products. After a 90min lunch break, you’ll return to the studio for your Order and Reveal to view a gallery of about 100 lightly retouched images. This is when you will choose your faves to be FULLY retouched by our pro retoucher! Images are ready 7-10 days after your session.

Is hair and makeup included?

Hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir sessions! That even includes eyelashes! I think it's really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that's "I just woke up like this" or Full on glam! If you have any special make-up or hair needs, just let us know before your session.

Do you Photoshop my images?

Yes. We have a master retoucher who edits your images. Don’t worry, she’s a woman too! We have an all-female team to help women feel more at ease. We don’t do any “over the top” photoshopping because we still want you to look like YOU. You will look like the best, glammed up version of yourself that we wish we could achieve everyday if we had our own full on glam team like some celebrities!

How long is the photoshoot?

As soon as you arrive at the studio, be ready to get GLAMMED UP with our hair and makeup team, this can take 60-90mins. After that we’ll go through our wardrobe together. I will help you select the best pieces for your figure. You’ll get to try on several pieces to find your fave 3-4 outfits. After that get ready to rock! The photoshoot itself will be about 2 hours long. Robbie will tell you EXACTLY what to do! She will pose you head to toe, find your best angles, and help with facial expressions. After that you’ll take a 90 min lunch-break. When you return to the studio, you’ll get to see over 100 lightly retouched images to choose your faves and design your album! Your favorite images will be sent to our pro-retoucher and be ready in about a week. So plan on being with us from 10am-4:30pm. We will ship your album to you.

Where should I buy outfits?

This is OPTIONAL. Even though we offer a plethora of lingerie outfits (mostly bodysuits), some women decide to bring their own. Especially if your style is different, or you want to make sure it fits you well, or maybe because you want to enjoy it afterwards! There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style. Here are a few to choose from with different styles and sizing. Amazon, Victoria's Secret, Forever21, Adoreme.com, Torrid, Aerie, SHEIN, Yandy, hipsandcurves.com. If you are looking for something specific that you can't find, let me know and I might know where to get it!

What type of products do you have?

We offer a variety of albums and print options, including canvases and acrylics as well as fun extras like calendars and viewfinders! Our Vintage Viewfinders are always a hit! Our Smart Phone App of your favorite images is my favorite! You get a custom phone app made of YOU and your beautiful images right on your smartphone! You can even share it with your partner, and you can both have the app on your phone. (The smart phone app is great to have while you’re travelling!)

Do you offer digitals?

All of our packages include some sort of print product and most include the digitals as well, but there is also an A La Carte list that you can choose from. Your digitals will be ready 7-10 days after your session.

I'm freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you weren’t nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make the moment of seeing your photos for the first time so much better! Should I get to my shoot early?

You should always plan on getting to your shoot about 10 minutes early so we can talk about your outfits and colors and make a plan for hair and makeup! But please do not arrive any earlier than that because I will be busy preapring for your arrival.

Where is your studio located?

Our all-female, commercial studio is located in North Dallas, Texas. Before your shoot we will send you a checklist of reminders for the day of your session as well as our address and parking instructions.
